Its been a while ...

It's been a while since I created a blog post. It's a new year and we are already at the end of February. After a very busy and successful end of year I was exhausted and so admit once I had completed all the Christmas orders I unplugged my sewing machine and tidied up the workroom and closed the door.

January came and went and then we went travelling for 3 weeks and now I am back and realise just how much I have to do!

My analogy for a year as a small creative business owner is like a car journey.

January - unlock and give it a once over

February - Turn on ignition

March - ease into 1st Gear

April - into 2nd and out onto the open road

May - coasting along merrily in 4th but still on the country roads

June and July - gather speed, set route and join the A roads

August - into the service station for a break

September - slightly panic as realise you are short of time before reaching destination

and the traffic might be bad.

October - cruising down the motorway, getting into the swing of things

November - move over to the fast lane and put on cruise control

December - a few lights on the dashboard start to come on but its not far now until you can pull in switch off the engine and put the car into the garage!

So there it is. I hope you can relate.

Looking forward to getting onto that open road.
